Did you know that it was house spider mating season? That’s right if your lucky and have a great pest control service in place already you should be fine. The common house spider mates every year about this time. Once the female mates, she will look for a good place to lay her eggs. There can be well over 100 eggs each time. These eggs only take about 2 weeks to hatch. We’ll let you do the math, but it only takes one of these in your home to create a real problem. Cold weather bringing mice into your house?

Fall is here, and so are the cold weather pests. We have already started seeing an increase in new customer calls for mice and rodent activity. Warning signs can be anything from droppings in cabinets, food boxes or bags with holes chewed through them, urine odors, runways or marks where tail drags leaving streaks, scampering noises, and even strange or unusual pet behavior. A few things you can do to help prevent these cold weather invaders: 1. Keep food in plastic containers that seal airtight. 2. Don’t leave food or dirty dishes out overnight. 3. Earwig Season? I know, it’s still pretty hot here in South Carolina. As we start to come out of summer though,  and the temperatures begin to cool expect to start seeing more earwigs inside the house. Earwigs do prefer to be outdoor.
